Being around my whole family for the first time in a year makes me really see how foolish I would’ve been to give all of them up for a relationship I wasn’t ever completely sure of. How could I ever trade in these goofy, borderline-insane people for a lifetime (if we could’ve possibly made it that long) of dysfunction?

I am blessed. I am glad I came to my senses.

I feel like I’m home for the first time in years.
